The Chinese wind market, measured in installed capacity, today accounts for more than half of the global wind market. In 2020, 54,43GW (of which approx. 4GW offshore) were installed, which is the highest ever. Accumulated installation capacity (by the end of 2020) exceeded 150,000 units with a capacity of over 290GW, with a year-on-year increase of 23%. For 12 years in a row, China has taken the lead, measured in new installations on the world wind market. This makes China a very interesting and strategically important market.

China Wind Power (CWP)

With 13 years experience, CWP has grown into one of the world’s largest and most influential wind energy exhibitions. CWP provides an exchange platform for global wind sector to seek industrial development, tackle climate change, and explore solutions for energy transformation. With more than 82,000 visitors in 2021, 650 exhibitors and 60,000+ sqm, CWP 2021 has reached historical records.

The CWP 2022 will be held in Beijing – China International Exhibition Center (new venue) from September 6-8, 2022.

Netherlands Lounge

Due to the current COVID-19 travel restrictions to China and the great uncertainty about the borders opening up in the upcoming period, Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) unfortunately had to decide to postpone the organisation of the Netherlands Lounge at least with another year to CWP 2023.
