Mission to Estonian Wind Energy Conference
12 February - 14 February
The recent news in December regarding the Estonian offshore wind tender, won by Ignitits Renewables and CIP, stands as a tangible example of the offshore wind ambitions of Estonia. This planned 1,4 GW windpark marks an addition to the three decided wind farms sites, collectively possessing a total capacity of 4GW, expected to be operational by the early 2030s. Estonia has set an ambitious target to cover its entire electricity consumption from renewable sources by 2030.
Join the mission to Estonia from February 12-14, 2024!
During the mission to Estonia in February we will further explore the future role of the wind energy in the Estonian energy mix and the potential the market could offer for the Dutch representatives. Additionally, you will receive insight into what is happening in the neighbouring countries Latvia and Lithuania. We invite you to participate in a tailored program for Dutch companies which includes the conference and is also the kick-off event of the PIB Baltic States – Linkedbyoffshorewind.
As a part of the mission, the Dutch delegation will be offered an opportunity to visit the wind conference that brings together the Estonian wind sector stakeholders (in 2023 over 150 physical participants).
For the mission participants a matchmaking session will be arranged to meet the developers and other stakeholders of the Estonian offshore wind farms. Apart from the conference, our delegation will participate in additional events on 12 February to receive an overview of the latest updates on the Latvian and Lithuanian offshore sectors.
The PIB cluster Linkedbyoffshorewind is the main international partner of the conference. The package, exclusively for Dutch companies, includes:
- Meeting Estonian offshore wind stakeholders and receive the latest updates on the Latvian and Lithuanian offshore wind plans;
- Take part in the B2B and B2G matchmaking sessions
- One company page in the mission booklet and your logo visible on the rollup in the conference
- Introduce your experience to the conference audience during the planned 1.5 hrs session on the Dutch offshore experience (the speakers and topics/focus of every presentation will be agreed individually with potential speakers)
- In case of demand, the embassy in Tallinn can compose a program for the Dutch delegation in order to meet the selected organisations and key people (public/private)
Participation fee
€225 net for companies for 3 days (including conference participation/additional dinners/side events, and excluding flight and overnight stays)
Free for PIB members (one ticket per PIB company).
