Netherlands Lounge @ Australia Wind Energy + mission
17-07-2025 @ 08:00 - 18-07-2025 @ 17:00
€850.00 – €3,700.00In Australia, both the onshore and offshore wind market are experiencing significant growth. Onshore wind projects have expanded due to favourable government policies and increasing investments, leading to a surge in renewable energy capacity. Meanwhile, the offshore wind sector is gaining momentum, with several large-scale projects in the planning stages, driven by ambitious renewable energy targets of the Australian government.
The government aims to significantly boost onshore wind capacity, targeting around 20GW of installed capacity by 2030. Current projections indicate that onshore wind could account for a substantial portion of Australia’s energy mix, contributing to a renewable energy target of around 50% by 2030.
For offshore wind, Australia is relatively new to the sector. The government has set a target for up to 10GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030 and is planning for around 30GW by 2040. Various projects are in the pipeline, with investments and regulatory frameworks being established to facilitate growth. If you want to be part of this development from the beginning, this is the time to join this event, start your network and familiarize yourself with the Australian market!
Mission to Australia
To make the most out of our time in Australia in the week of the Australian Wind Energy, we are planning to organize a 3-day mission program around the exhibition & conference. This mission will take place from Monday 14 – Wednesday 16 July, followed by the Australian Wind Energy on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 July.
We are currently working on the program, but mission components can be e.g.:
- B2B matchmaking event to build up your network;
- Company visit(s) to Australian stakeholder(s);
- NL – AUS networking event (drinks and/or lunch/dinner); and
- Seminar(s)/Workshop(s) to exchange knowledge and gain insights.
The draft program is available here.
Participation in the mission is free of charge for the companies participating in the Netherlands Lounge at the Australia Wind Energy. If you are not participating in the Netherlands Lounge, but with your own booth, or plan to only go as visitor, reach out to eline@hhwe.eu to discuss the possibilities and participation fee.
The mission is organized together with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Sydney and Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
Netherlands Lounge @ Australia Wind Energy 2025
Australia Wind Energy (#AuWE2025) is the country’s largest onshore and offshore wind energy event, where you can meet the entire Australian wind energy value chain. It aims to assist in delivering a new energy economy by facilitating local, national and international cooperation. Held annually in Melbourne, it serves as a critical platform for industry stakeholders to exchange insights, forge valuable connections and close major deals.
In 2024, the event was a great success, with over 1,500 companies and 5,000 attendees converging on the event to network, share insights, and explore the latest industry advancements. Read the post-event report here.
Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE) intends to set up a Netherlands Lounge, in which every participant will get individual exposure.
