Seminar: Developments in the Chinese Offshore Energy Sector

China is investing heavily in the energy transition. Over the next decades, the Chinese government aims to further develop offshore energy projects. For instance, local governments in Jiangsu and Guangdong plan to realise more than 30 GW of projects by 2030. The northern provinces of Shandong and Liaoning are also developing plans to roll out offshore wind power.

The seminar will cover key developments in China’s offshore wind sector, including policy changes, competitive bidding processes, and ecology. With presentations from the Chinese public and private sector and a Q&A, the seminar will give a broad overview of the offshore wind sector and offers participants the opportunity to directly engage with key stakeholders.
