Seminar: Developments in the South Korean Offshore Wind Sector

South Korea is making strides in offshore wind energy, offering new opportunities for international collaboration. The South Korean government aims to reach 18.3GW of offshore wind energy by 2030. The Offshore Wind Power Competitive Bidding Roadmap plans to tender 7-8 GW of offshore wind projects over the next two years and its first 1.5 GW tender was announced on 25 October 2024. This seminar will explore these exciting developments and what this means for Dutch companies interested in South Korea.

The seminar will cover key developments in South Korea’s offshore wind sector, including policy changes, competitive bidding processes, and grid infrastructure. With presentations from the Korean public and private sector and a Q&A, the seminar will give a broad overview of the offshore wind sector and offers participants the opportunity to directly engage with key stakeholders.

This seminar is interesting for companies active in the offshore wind supply chain who are curious about developments in South Korea. Knowledge institutions and the public sector are also invited to join.
