Wind Energy Ireland Annual Conference
16 January - 17 January
The Wind Energy Ireland Annual Conference 2025 will take place in Ireland’s most important annual renewable energy event, focusing on the country’s role in accelerating the transition to net-zero and achieving energy independence.
Onshore wind farms are under construction across Ireland, offshore projects are entering the planning system, and a second offshore auction is approaching. The Irish Government has reformed the planning system and announced an unprecedented €750 million investment in strengthening the national electricity grid.
While progress is being made, the climate crisis continues to worsen, and Irish families face rising energy costs due to dependence on imported fossil fuels. Wind energy, alongside other zero-carbon technologies, is essential for reducing carbon emissions and ensuring affordable, secure energy for consumers.
Wind farms are the solution.
The conference will address the urgency of building more wind farms at a faster pace to meet the demand for a zero-carbon energy system by the end of the decade. As the slogan for 2025 says, ‘We’re moving in the right direction’.
